I only get to play bridge against the computer at AARP Games and can't remember an important fact about bidding no trump. I believe a no trump bid forces the partner to make a specific suit bid but I can't remember if that is only if the partner has 6 or more points. Anyone help me out with a suggestion?

Hmm. I think that you could benefit from a basic book about
notrump bidding structure.

It can go from as simple as:

http://www.rpbridge.net/bbtc.htm

to very complex.

Usually you don't try to bid higher without 8 or more points, though
with a five-card major you might try to end up at the two level via
the simple bid described above or the Jacoby transfer, described at:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacoby_transfer

With 9 points and no four-card major, you bid 2NT to invite partner.

With 10-15 points and no four-card major, you typically just bid 3NT.

If you have a four-card major, you can try Stayman:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stayman_convention

You would have a better brand of bridge available at:

http://www.bridgebase.com/

Use the "Just Play Bridge" option.

I forgot to mention, the neat thing about it is that you
can hover over the bid and it will tell you what it means.
