Benj Acol, weak NT, random teams, no-one vuln.

N E S W
P 1NT* P P
2C** P 2H 3D
P P 3H P
P 4D AP
*12-14
**Astro (5-4 H+minor)

4D made on the nose, although double dummy 5D, 6C and 4S can be made by
EW (thanks to a somewhat fortunate layout). Unfortunately our teammates,
despite having a choice of three making games, decided to allow their
opponents to play in 2H making. 6 imps out for a double negative
partscore swing. At least it wasn't as bad as the pair who allowed 4H to
make.

Seems like West has a tough call; the shortage in hearts suggests a fit, but North's minor could've been diamonds rather than clubs. Looks like he guessed well. Perhaps having failed to invite game initially, 2NT on the second round might be used as takeout for the minors; I think this requires discussion.
