I noticed there was a Chrome app to practice bidding SAYC. So I clicked and tried it out. Soon I got this hand:

In second seat you, South, open 1D, partner responds 2C.
I bid 3C and partner passed. I suppose that's correct;
how much stronger does he have to be to bid over 3C?
Change his minor suit Jacks to Queens and should he bid
3D or 4C? Or 3S trying for 3NT???

But the App recommends rebidding 2D instead of 3C,
and gets to game with the auction
1D - 2C - 2D - 3C - 4C - 5D
Who's right? Me or the App?

(Not that it matters, but the way the cards split --
West has KTxx - KTx - QTxx - xx
I think you're likely to make 5C but not 5D.)

Are there better on-line resources for practicing SAYC?
Better than an App that generates random hands and
misbids them, would be a collection of expert-generated hands.

I think SAYC would prefer you bid 2NT on the second round (balanced minimum). But after the club raise, responder is supposed to bid again on this auction according to the SAYC booklet (which I consider the authority on SAYC, as far as it goes).

No computer program I've ever tried has been especially good at bidding, although the more serious efforts like Bridge Baron and wbridge5 are better. If you want to get the most out of bidding you need to practice with your partner(s), although taking quizzes written by real authorities is very instructive.

Eddie Kantar has a page of bidding quizzes on his website (kantarbridge.com) with his answers that are mostly very SAYC-ish.

Richard Pavlicek (rpbridge.net) and Larry Cohen (larryco.com) have practice hand sets for partnership bidding available on their websites, although their recommended auctions are not that likely to adhere to SAYC they could still be useful.

With your 14 and responder's 10+ (for 2/1), your first thought is 3N. My rebid would have been 2N invitational, denying 4M, and showing 13-14 HCP. I disagree with both 2D (minimum) and 3C (should have 4clubs for this). Responder with the singleton heart and a minimum would correct to 3C in MP, possibly 3S (IMPS) intending to get to either 3N or 5C.

Actually, as far as computer bidding goes, the SAYC app seems not too bad, and my bidding matches the autobidder a high percentage of the time. In your example I would rebid 2D, as responder can have around 11 hcp and 3334 shape (where raising clubs is wrong) or various unbalanced hands which would face a guess over 2NT. But as responder I would rebid 3D (the known fit) rather than 3C, and probably play it there. I'm not losing sleep over missing game with 24 hcp.
